Replacing the crankshaft position sensor - X-Trail I (T30)

Remove the air duct and filter housing. Unscrew the bracket (12mm wrench). Gain access to the sensor (10mm wrench).

The connector clip of the original sensor is located on the side of the mounting bolt. This clip can be easily removed before unscrewing the sensor from the block. However, on the new sensor, for some reason, this latch is on the opposite side. Consequently, it gets obstructed by the block. Therefore, you'll only be able to disconnect the connector after unscrewing the sensor itself.
