Infiniti Q45 (G50, FY33, F50) Common Problems Owners Faced
Engine Issues: On models with VH45DE and VK45DE engines, owners often complained of increased oil consumption and premature timing chain wear (especially on the F50). Regular maintenance can help prevent these issues.
Electrical Issues: On all generations, problems with electrical systems such as ABS sensors, infotainment display failure, and lighting defects were reported. On F50 models, there were also complaints of intermittent problems with the climate control system.
Suspension Issues: On FY33 and F50 models in particular, owners experienced rapid wear of suspension components. Some complaints included knocking and a harsh ride associated with worn shock absorbers and struts.
