Nissan Juke 2WD-1.6l CVT Oil Change

CVT X-Tronic Jatco JF015E or CVT-7 RE0F11A since 2010 and is installed on many models with engines up to 1.8.

This transmission is known as DK0 on Renault vehicles, and as F1CJB and W1CJB on Mitsubishi vehicles.

Nissan: Juke, Cube, Latio, Note, March, Qashqai, Sentra, Tiida.

The Jatco gearbox has undergone several changes over time. In 2010, when the manufacturer had just started producing this transmission, the recommendations included NS-2 oil type. However, over time, some difficulties in the operation of variators were revealed, and the plant switched to the NS-3 specification and also changed the software. Therefore, in order to correctly select the original oil for replacement, you need to know the software number of the unit.

  • What oil to use for Nissan CVT NS-2 / NS-3

Spare parts for Juke 2WD-1.6-116 hp are as follows:

1) Unscrew the drain plug

2) unscrew the measuring tube (the level is set using it). This iron tube is twisted into the pan and the level is poured along it; when more oil gets into the pan during filling than necessary, it begins to flow out through this tube

3) We removed the pan, drained more oil (4 liters in total), washed everything, cleaned the filter (mesh), and put it back

4) Changed the paper filter through the left wheel arch

5) We filled in new oil according to the level, through the plug, which in this Juke sticks out instead of the dipstick

There is a dipstick instead, but it's not a dipstick. It is very convenient to pour through it.

6) Next, someone gets into the car, the car is raised on a lift, the car is started, warmed up, the gears are shifted up and down, with a delay of at least 5 seconds in each, we warm up the box to about 45 degrees, unscrew the plug (without unscrewing the overflow measuring tube) on the working engine, and wait until the oil stops flowing to drops.

After driving for days, repeat the procedure without removing the pan and replacing the filters. It's very fast.
