This page contains detailed electrical diagrams for the first generation Mazda 6 cars (GG - sedan/hatchback and GY - station wagon), produced from 2002 to 2008.
The electrical diagrams cover all key systems of the car, including:
All diagrams are accompanied by color coding of wires, connector designations and ground connection points, which makes them convenient for diagnostics and repair.
Using these diagrams will help Mazda 6 owners, auto electricians and service station specialists in troubleshooting electrical systems of the car.

1. Problems with the fuse and relay box
Oxidation of contacts in the mounting block under the hood due to moisture. This can cause interruptions in the operation of the headlights, cooling fan and fuel pump.
Blown fuses due to overload of the electrical system, especially in the lighting and audio system circuits.
Faulty relays, problems with the fuel pump and cooling fan relays are common.
Solution: Regular cleaning and treatment of contacts with special agents to prevent oxidation.
2. Lighting system
Burned out low beam lamps due to weak contacts or unstable voltage in the network.
Problems with the "ground" wire of the headlights, which cause dim light or complete lack of light.
Condensation in the headlights, leading to short circuits.
Solution: Checking the wiring and connectors, strengthening the ground, replacing damaged elements.
3. Central locking and window lifts
Failure of the central lock, especially on the rear doors, due to faulty microswitches in the locks.
Window lifters sticking, caused by worn motors and moisture getting into the doors.
Problems with the door control unit, which can lead to spontaneous opening or locking of the doors.
Solution: Lubrication of mechanisms, replacement of faulty motors and microswitches.
4. ABS and airbag (SRS) errors
Broken wiring of ABS sensors, especially on the front wheels, which leads to errors on the dashboard.
Oxidation of impact sensor connectors, due to which the airbag malfunction indicator lights up.
Problems with the wiring under the front seats, which can cause random SRS errors.
Solution: Cleaning and restoring contacts, replacing damaged sections of wiring.
5. Generator and charging system
Intermittent generator operation caused by wear of the diode bridge or voltage regulator.
Bad contacts on the battery terminals, which leads to voltage surges and difficult engine starting.
Worn alternator belt, causing insufficient battery charge.
Solution: Check the alternator on the bench, replace the regulator and clean the terminals.
6. Climate control and heater
Faults in the heater fan caused by a resistor or motor failure.
Burned out wiring of the rear window heating, especially at the junction with the body.
Failures of temperature sensors, causing improper operation of the climate control system.
Solution: Diagnose circuits, replace burnt out elements, check connectors.
7. Audio system and instrument panel
Failure of the display on the instrument panel, stripes appear or no image at all.
Interruptions in the operation of the audio system due to broken wiring or oxidation of connector contacts.
Problems with the buttons on the steering wheel, due to contamination of the contacts or damage to the flexible cable.
Solution: Disassemble and solder connections, replace faulty blocks.
