1. Generator and battery charging issues
🔹 Symptoms:
The battery indicator on the dashboard is on.
Battery discharge, difficult engine starting.
Voltage drop in the network, headlights flickering.
🔹 Causes:
Wear or failure of the generator after 100-150 thousand km.
Loose contacts in the wiring of the charging system.
🔹 Solution:
Check the generator and drive belt.
Clean and tighten the battery terminals.
Check the voltage with the engine running (should be 13.8-14.5 V).
2. Water in the fuse box (IPM)
🔹 Symptoms:
Headlights, windshield wipers, signals do not work.
Power loss on key modules.
CAN bus errors, problems with engine starting.
🔹 Causes:
Water entering the underhood fuse box due to poor sealing.
🔹 Solution:
Check and dry the fuse box (IPM – Integrated Power Module).
Seal the housing of the box to prevent water from entering.
3. Burnt-out radiator fan relay
🔹 Symptoms:
The radiator fan does not turn on → engine overheating.
The fan runs constantly, even when the engine is off.
🔹 Causes:
Burnt-out contacts in the relay due to overload.
Oxidation of connectors and wiring.
🔹 Solution:
Check the relay and replace if necessary.
Clean the contacts, check the fan wiring.
4. Problems with the A/C control unit (air conditioning, climate control)
🔹 Symptoms:
The air conditioner does not turn on or works intermittently.
The climate error indicator is on.
Fans run at maximum speed without adjustment.
🔹 Causes:
Blown fan resistor.
Blown air conditioner fuses.
Errors in the A/C control module.
🔹 Solution:
Check the fan resistor and replace if necessary.
Clean and tighten the climate control contacts.
5. Smart Key system glitches (keyless entry and start)
🔹 Symptoms:
The car does not respond to the Start/Stop button.
“Keyless System Malfunction” error.
The doors do not open with the button on the handle.
🔹 Causes:
Discharged key fob.
Weak contact of keyless entry antennas.
Problems with the wiring of the Smart Key control unit.
🔹 Solution:
Replace the battery in the key.
Check the system antenna connections.
Diagnose errors in the Smart Key unit.
