The main signs indicating the need to replace the filter:
At what mileage should the fuel filter be changed?
The service life of the fuel filter directly depends on the type of installation. Manufacturers advise changing remote fine filters every 30,000–40,000 km,
while built-in filters should be changed no earlier than every 100,000 km.
1. Tools you will need:
— Jack
— Screwdriver
— Wrench Set for 7mm and 8mm
2. Raise the front right part of the car on a jack
3. Removes the front right wheel.
4. Remove the front part of the fender liner and see the fuel filter.
5. Remove the fuel filter with the bracket from its mount, pulling it up and towards you.
6. Disconnect the 4 quick-release fittings from the filter by pressing the colored clips and remove the filter with bracket
7. Remove the bracket from the old filter by completely unscrewing the 8-point bolt and place it on the new filter.
8. Connect the new filter to the fittings. It is quite difficult to confuse them, since the tubes are rigid and each has its own position.
9. We hang the filter in its place (there are latches on the body for the filter bracket).
10. Pump fuel using a bulb (booster pump) under the hood until the bulb becomes solid.
We start the car and check for fuel leaks and air leaks in the fuel line.
