The mechanical manuals of the Nissan group show all the data on adjustment and repair of engines belonging to this group. In some cases, the manual provides diagnostic assistance using a troubleshooting chart.
This diagnostic table is compiled based on the symptoms that can be found in a car engine. The Troubleshooting Chart walks an auto mechanic through the inspection process of each stepper motor system, providing the data and specifications that must be followed to resolve a motor's mechanical problem.
BUCKLES IN THE ICE OF THE FIRST YEARS
Before production in 2004, engines were equipped with catalysts that were not very durable, which were destroyed quite quickly, and their crumbs were sucked into the combustion chambers of the internal combustion engine. Also, engines until 2006 had an intake manifold with turbulator flaps, the bolts of which were unscrewed and got into the cylinders with similar consequences.
TIMING CHAIN STRETCH
The thin lamellar Morse chain also does not have the highest service life; it can stretch critically and begin to make a lot of noise already after 150 thousand kilometers. It is often recommended to replace the phase regulator with a chain, but you can simply wash it.
Cylinder head gasket failure
Another common problem here is the regular breakdown of the cylinder head gasket. The culprit is usually faulty thermostats or dirty radiators. In this case, deformation of the head and sometimes the appearance of microcracks often occur.
