Nissan YD Engine - 2184 cubic centimeter engine. (2.2) YD22DDT used in X-Trail, N16 Almera. It is equipped with an electronic VP44 rotational injection system and supercharger turbochargers. VP44 pump models are easy to spot thanks to the flat acoustic casing over the motor. The YD22DDTi is a common rail diesel engine introduced in 2001 during the first minor facelift of the P12 Primera, N16 Almera and V10 Almera Tino. It is also equipped with the Nissan X-Trail. A common rail injection system with variable vane turbocharger and intercooler provides the highest power and torque of any YD22 engine. Cars with this common rail engine usually have a DDTI badge. These motors have power outputs ranging from 81 kW to 102 kW.
